Black Tower Productions is an independent motion picture production company assembled from creative and business entertainment industry professionals with a common goal of producing films that reflect a distinct vision of the shared human experience. The company is responsible for the critical success “Soul Diaspora”, a story of a tormented Nigerian immigrant trying to survive the underbelly of Los Angeles, as well as one of the most successful independent plays in Hollywood, “Far From An Angel's Gaze". The play detailed the African life and struggle in Congo, and the plight of the women who lived there during the genocide. Black Tower's founder Odera Ozoka also produced such films as “Ije: The Journey” starring Genevieve Nnaji and Omotola Jalade.
To honor our commitment to social impact, Black Tower Productions invests in the communities where our films are produced by partnering with local entities.

Black Tower Productions is led by Odera Ozoka, a filmmaker who believes in art at all costs. Born in Benin, Nigeria, Odera moved to Los Angles to pursue his dream as an actor, but realized his passion for directing while attending The New York Film Academy. He then fell in love with writing, a gift he says came from his mom. After graduating, he wrote his third feature film, which became his directorial debut, "Soul Diaspora". He has also produced plays with the company Sacred Drum Theater, helped to produce the film "IJE", and authored the book Transformation Agenda: A Youth's Perspective in American System, which offers contemporary political theory and will be published in 2014.
Odera hopes his films represent his unique worldview, much like the antecedent directors who have inspired him.
